Continuing one of the longest running sponsorship arrangements in motorsports, Jeff Lapcevich is pleased to announce the return of Tim Horton’s as primary sponsor for the #23 Tim Hortons Chevrolet set to compete in the 2009 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series.
It has been a nineteen year association with Tim Hortons and Fastline Motorsports with Jeff Lapcevich as driver of the #23 Tim Hortons Chevrolet and Lapcevich is proud to continue the partnership. “We have had a great relationship with all of the people at Tim Hortons for so many years, we’re proud to carry the name of perhaps the best known brand in Canada on the car” said Jeff Lapcevich.
Competing in the full series schedule this season Jeff Lapcevich and the Tim Hortons team have been very busy this off season preparing the car for competition. “We’ve really taken our time getting ready” said Lapcevich. “This is a grueling schedule that will take us from coast to coast in only a few months and we wanted to make sure that everything was prepared and checked thoroughly before we got onto the track” he added.
Rewind to 2004 the last time Lapcevich raced full-time when it was known as the CASCAR Super Series and you’ll find the kind of results the #23 Tim Hortons Chevrolet team expects this year. Three race wins and fourth in the overall Championship. “I’ve only run a partial schedule the last few years” said Lapcevich. “I was spending a lot of time with my son Cayden and his racing events. Knowing that I’m in the #23 Tim Hortons Chevrolet at every event gives me a great mindset and I know we can have the same kind of results this season” he concluded.
The 2009 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series opens competition this Saturday, May 23rd at the Autodrome St. Eustache. This years thirteen events will consist of ovals, road courses and temporary street circuits from coast to coast in Canada. All events are once again scheduled to appear on TSN.
