Wet Weather Cancels August 29 Show at Scotia Speedworld
HALIFAX, NS (August 29, 2008) - 3 p.m. The Lockhart Weekly Racing show scheduled for this evening at Scotia Speedworld has been cancelled due to the inclement weather. Heavy rain is currently falling over the track with a forecast for intermittent showers through late this evening.
A decision with regard to whether Kiddies Rides will be rescheduled, or not, will be announced as soon as it is made.
The next racing action at Scotia Speedworld is next Friday September 5 - the last Lockhart Truck Centre Weekly Racing Series show of the '08 season that will feature all six racing divisions: the C&R Auto Supply Sportsman, the Wallace Equipment Hobby Stock, the Miller Tire BFGoodrich Thunder & Lightning divisions, and the Sojourn Signs Bandoleros.
Race fans are reminded to get their tickets soon for the big season finale weekend in just two weeks time - on September 12 and 13 at Scotia Speedworld. Special savings two-day tickets are now available at just $30 for adults and $5 for youth aged eight to 15. Advance tickets can be purchased at Ticket Atlantic (grandstand only; two-day and/or September 13 only; adult and youth). These tickets as well as pit passes ($40/two days) will also be available at the gate on September 12 and 13.
Children seven and under are admitted free at Scotia Speedworld, when accompanied by an adult.
