Gymnastics: APEX Offers Open Gyms for High School Athletes

(Oct. 20, 2010) - APEX Gymnastics will be hosting high school open gyms on days that Loudoun County Public Schools are closed.

"This is a great time for athletes to get back into shape for the high school season," said APEX co-owner Melanie Cuozzo.

News: APEX Gymnastics Finalizes Plans for Expansion -- Additional 12,000 Sq. Feet to Open in Late November

Leesburg (Oct. 13, 2010) - APEX Gymnastics announced this week that construction will start soon on a 12,000 square foot expansion to the facility.

News: APEX Gymnastics Raises Over $22K for Western Loudoun Relay for Life

News: APEX Gymnastics Has Raised Over $17K for Relay for Life

(June 10, 2010) - APEX Gymnastics teams, friends and family have raised over $17,000 for Relay for Life! Come join APEX on June 12 at Heritage High School where they will walk for 24 hours in honor of those who are battling the terrible disease of cancer.

APEX has spent the past six weeks doing fundraisers, soliciting money and holding open gyms as a way to raise money for this great cause.

Youth Sports - Gymnastics - APEX Level 8's Finish Second at East Coast Classic

(Feb. 24, 2010) - The APEX Level 8 gymnastic team finished second in a strong field at the East Coast Classic on Feb. 12–14 in Landover, MD.

The Apex Gymnasts competed with over 500 athletes from several states. Special congratulations to Brielle Davis, level 10 and Madison O’Braitis and Maddy Scozzie, level 9's who qualified to event finals and Shannon Daily, level 8 who qualified to states.

Gymnastics: Stone Bridge's Severin 6th on Bars, Valley's Huebner 6th on Floor at VHSL State Meet

(Feb. 21, 2010) - Loudoun Valley High School's Amanda Huebner finished sixth on the floor and Stone Bridge's Tori Severin was tied for sixth on the bars Saturday at the VHSL state meet.

Huebner scored 9.475 on the floor and Severin scored 9.575 on the bars.

In the All-Around, Broad Run's Drea Ewen was 10th with a 36.450.

Gymnastics: Stone Bridge Just Misses VHSL State Meet Team Slot, Four Bulldogs Advance

(Feb. 19, 2010) - The Stone Bridge High School gymnastics squad missed a trip to the VHSL state meet by less than a point as Stone Bridge was edged for second place in the Northern Region meet Wednesday by Herndon, 142.050 to 141.625.

Gymnastics: Freedom Edges Broad Run by Two-Tenths of a Point for the Dulles District Title

Gymnastics: Northwest Region Meet Set for Monday, Schedules for Dulles District, A/AA State Qualifier Meets

(Feb. 12, 2010) - The AAA Northwest Region gymnastics meet will be held Monday Feb. 15 at 10 a.m. at Osbourn Park High School in Manassas.

Also, here is the schedule for both the Dulles District (Feb. 14) and A/AA State Qualifier (Feb. 15) meets:
12:30pm - Teams warm-up on all events
2:45pm - Teams march-in
3:00pm - Competition begins

Gymnastics: Dulles District Moves Gymnastics to Rare Sunday Start, A/AA State Qualifier 24 Hours Later

(Feb. 11, 2010) - The Dulles District has taken the unusual step of moving its district meet to Sunday with a 3 p.m. start at Potomac Falls High School.

Just 24 hours later many of the same gymnasts will meet again at Potomac Falls with a 3 p.m. start to the A/AA state qualifier.

Gymnastics: Northern Region Meet Needs Experienced Scorers

(Feb. 11, 2010) - The Northern Region gymnastics meet, scheduled now for Feb. 17 at 3:30 p.m. at Lake Braddock High School is looking for parents with experience scoring meets as the meet is going to be scored manually.

If Fairfax County does not get back into school until Feb. 16 instead of Feb. 15, then the meet would be pushed a day to Feb. 18. Contact Mark Martino for more information

Gymnastics: More Open Gym Time Provided by APEX

(Feb. 11, 2010) - If you missed the open gym this evening at APEX, there are two more sessions open for Loudoun County Public Schools high school athletes.

Athletes must have a registration form on file to participate. High school coaches are welcome to attend. Cost is $10 per day. The APEX parking lot is cleared, but the roads into the complex are not great so travel at your own discretion.

News: Snoverload! Wednesday's Blizzard Postpones Saturday's Schedule

(Feb. 10, 2010) - A plan to get the winter sports season in the Dulles District and Region II back into action on Saturday has been snowed under by Wednesday's blizzard which added another 10 inches or so of snow to the already 30 on the ground in Loudoun.
