Football: Freedom Wins First Ever District Contest, Snapping 23-Game String with 26-19 Win at Potomac Falls
Sterling (Oct. 24, 2010) - The Freedom High School football team not only tied the school mark for victories in a season with a 26-19 win at Potomac Falls on Friday night but the victory was the Eagles first ever Dulles District win, snapping a 23-game string of losses, as they improved to 4-4 overall.

Golf: Area Girls Tee it Up at VHSL Open Championship Monday
(Oct. 22, 2010) - Broad Run High School's Danielle Cook finished second at this week's state qualifier played at Rock Harbour Golf Club to become one of 10 Loudoun girls that will tee it up for a state title at the two-day VHSL Girls Open which starts Monday at Red Wing Golf Club in Virginia Beach.

Competitive Cheer: Stone Bridge Wins Third Annual Cheers Sports Spirit Bowl
(Oct. 14, 2010) - The Stone Bridge High School competitive cheer team made it two straight meet victories as the host Bulldogs won the Third Annual Cheers Sports Spirit Bowl on Saturday.
Showing the state power's depth was the fact that Stone Bridge's JV squad finished third, ahead of seven other varsity units. Stone Bridge varsity also captured the Park View Invitational this season.

Girls Soccer: Spartans Sweep Region II Awards as Whitney Church is Player of th Year and Claire Collins is Coach of the Year
(June 17, 2010) - The Broad Run High School girls soccer team -- which just wrapped up a third straight AA state title -- swept the Region II honors with junior Whitney Church being named the Player of the Year and Claire Collins the Coach of the Year. A total of seven Dulles District players made the first team.

Track and Field: Park View Boys 4x100 Wins AA State Title; PV's April, PF's Fauteux, Freedom's Phun All Double Medalists
(June 6, 2010) - The Park View High School boys 4x100 relay was crowned AA state champion at Saturday's track and field meet at Harrisonburg High School as the quartet of Nathan Santana, Daryus Beale, Takim Gayle and Dennis April turned in a winning 42.48 time.
April also medaled in the 100 meters with a fifth place finish (11.45) and the 200 with a third place finish (22.55).

Football: VHSL Releases Master Schedule for 2010 Season
(June 4, 2010) - The Virginia High School League released the 2010 master football schedule and the season starts and ends with the two newest Loudoun high schools - Tuscarora in Leesburg and Woodgrove in Purcellville - facing each other.
Tuscarora hosts Woodgrove at 7 p.m. on Aug. 27 and then Woodgrove will host Tuscarora on Nov. 5. The two new schools are playing an independent varsity

Girls Basketball: Freedom's Buchanan AP All-State 1st Team, LC's Batts and Holmes 2nd Team
