Girls Soccer: Spartans Sweep Region II Awards as Whitney Church is Player of th Year and Claire Collins is Coach of the Year

(June 17, 2010) - The Broad Run High School girls soccer team -- which just wrapped up a third straight AA state title -- swept the Region II honors with junior Whitney Church being named the Player of the Year and Claire Collins the Coach of the Year. A total of seven Dulles District players made the first team.

Girls Soccer: Loudoun Valley's Kerry Davidson Named Northwest Region Coach of the Year

(June 17, 2010) - Loudoun Valley High School girls soccer coach Kerry Davidson, who led the Vikings to the AAA state semifinals has been named the 2010 Northwest Region Coach of the Year. Viking senior forward Ashley Manning, senior midfielder Danielle Stpehens and senior keeper DiDi haracic were all named first team.

Girls Soccer: Stone Bridge Girls Crush Cosby, 4-0, to Win AAA State Title

(June 13, 2010) - The Stone Bridge High School girls soccer team crushed Cosby, 4-0, on Saturday with freshman Ashley Herndon adding two more goals to her record-breaking season. The win ended an undefeated run for the 21-0-2 Bulldogs and was the school's second state title, adding to a AA crown captured in 2005.

Girls Soccer: Broad Run Wins Third Straight State Title with 2-0 Win Over Loudoun County

Radford (June 11, 2010) – Broad Run High School scored a goal in each half and captured its third straight Group AA Girls Soccer State Championship with a 2-0 victory over Loudoun County Saturday morning at Radford University as part of the 2010 Spring Jubilee.

Radford (June 11, 2010) - Loudoun County High School defeated Blacksburg 2-0 in the Group AA Girls Soccer State semifinals Friday at Radford University as part of the 2010 Spring Jubilee.

Radford (June 11, 2010) - Hannah Walker and Leah Roth scored two goals each to lead George Mason past Gate City, 5-1, in the Group A Girls Soccer State semifinals Friday morning at Radford University as part of the 2010 Spring Jubilee.

Violet Miller also added a goal and set up another for the Mustangs.

Radford (June 11, 2010) - Cassie Smith scored a goal and set up the difference maker to lead Broad Run to a 3-0 victory over Hidden Valley in the semifinals of the Group AA Girls Soccer State semifinals Friday morning at Radford University as part of the 2010 Spring Jubilee.

Dani Dangremond put the Spartans up 1-0 with the eventual game winner in the 12th minute of action.

Soccer: Super Six! Half Dozen Loudoun Soccer Teams Advance to State Semifinals

(June 9, 2010) - The VHSL has changed the AAA state semifinal soccer schedule for Friday at Westfield High School due to graduations.

The Skinny on Wednesday's Regional Semifinals: Loudoun Teams Go 10-for-12

(June 3, 2010) - Loudoun teams made a huge STATEment Wednesday night as they won 10 of 12 regional semifinal contests to advance to Frdiay's regional finals and qualify for next week's state tournament.

In all, seven soccer teams from Loudoun will be playing in States including Broad Run boys and girls, Stone Bridge boys and girls, Loudoun Valley and Loudoun County girls and Potomac Falls boys.
