Titans owner to pay $250,000 for making an Obscene GestureThe NFL fined Bud Adams for $ 250,000, owner of the Tennessee Titans for making the gesture during a game.

Adams gestured from his luxury box at the end of the third quarter and later repeated it in the playing field in which the Titans defeated the Buffalo Bills 41-17 Sunday.

League commissioner Roger Goodell announced today the penalty Adams and the league spokesman Greg Aiello said the attitude of the owner of the Titans is detrimental to the interests of the NFL Betting.

"I realize that this kind of behavior should not happen," Adams said in a statement. "I need to apologize specifically to the Bills, with all the fans and the league."

Other players also have been fined by the same gestures made by Adams.

Joe Nedney of the San Francisco 49ers, was fined $ 7,500, while Michael Vick received a penalty of $ 10,000 while with the Atlanta Falcons in 2006.

Volleyball: Two for the Show! Loudoun County and Loudoun Valley Advance to State Semifinals

(Nov. 17, 2009) - Loudoun volleyball fans have two chances for a state title after both Loudoun County and Loudoun Valley captured VHSL state quarterfinals Tuesday night on their respective home floors.

Breaking News: VHSL Initial Plan to Move Broad Run, Freedom to AAA; Valley, Heritage Back to AA

(Nov. 17, 2009) - The Virginia High School League Redistricting and Reclassification Committee met today to create the initial plan for the 2011-12 and 2012-13 two-year cycle and if the plan holds a reversal will take place in Loudoun as Broad Run and Freedom move up to AAA and Heritage and Loudoun Valley shift back down to AA.

The initial plan is to move Broad Run and Freedom into the spots

Basketball: Freedom's Buchanan and Escorza Sign NCAA Division I Basketball Scholarships


South Riding (Nov. 17, 2009) - Freedom High School celebrated two basketball NCAA Division I basketball scholarship signings on Friday with Kelsey Buchanan (Delaware) and Jessica Escorza (Wofford), the school's first ever multiple signing.

Buchanan has committed to the University of Delaware and Escorza has committed to Wofford University. Both players will enroll at their respective schools
