What was Tony Novotny thinking?

In a story by the Ottawa Citizen's Deirdre McMurdy, CASCAR founder Tony Novotny questions the reasoning behind the Conservative Party of Canada's sponsorship of Pierre Bourque.

Said Novotny, "It's a very expensive sport and a risky one. The message you send by losing or crashing isn't very positive, is it?"

Well, hopefully no one tells that to Dodge, Castrol, MOPAR, Canadian Tire, Tim Hortons, Home Hardware, Milwaukee Tools, etc.... all of whom sponsor cars that sometimes crash and usually lose.
