SRA KARTING: Jesse Lazare Crowned 2008 Quebec Champion

Montreal, Québec – September 1, 2008- Sportimage.net. 11 year-old Jesse Lazare left many drivers stunned at SRA karting last Sunday as he clinched the Quebec title. He also took home the Canadian title three weeks ago.

"It was not easy for me because I was registered to race in two categories and I had to jump from one kart to the other without having any time to rest. But my goal was reached and I am very happy to have won the 2008 title in Honda Junior," explains Jesse leaving the podium.

Jodoin was not far.
"Driver Jean-Philippe Jodin (finished second place) was the closest rival to Jesse. Only 73 thousands of a second separated them," explains his mechanic Hugo - SH karting team mentor. "Again, Jesse took many chances and raced impeccably," explains Hugo.

An oil stain.
Jesse would have also liked to win the title in the Mini-Max category. Unfortunately, after a "STOP and GO" during the final he finished fifth with only 2.7 seconds behind the winner. "They penalized many drivers for driving on the security patches," explains Hugo. "Jesse made a Stop and Go and was able to come back strong. The worst had passed!"  he explains.

For the second consecutive year, Lazare is sponsored by garage doors Garaga, SH Karting team, Kart-o-mania and the family business, Dor Doctor.
