Maritime Motorsports Hall of Fame Inc.: INAUGURAL INDUCTION CEREMONY SET FOR NOVEMBER 2006

ELGIN, NB (2005 December 13) - The wheels are in motion to select the inaugural inductees to the Maritime Motorsports Hall of Fame (MMHOF). The organization's Nomination Committee has released the Nomination Form for 2006 considerations as inaugural members to the hallowed hall.

Ten inductees will be selected from the nominations by the Committee and the black tie ceremony will happen next November.

Members of the public are encouraged to complete the form to nominate those they feel are worthy for consideration. Four categories pertaining to all types of motorsports are included: Competitor, Recreational, Restoration & Specialties and Team. The deadline for nomination submission is 2006 April 1 and selections will be made by 2006 September 15.

The inductees will be chosen based on outstanding contribution to Maritime motorsports.

The Maritime Motorsports Hall of Fame Inc. was founded in 2005 by Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame member and former River Glade Speedway (Petiticodiac) owner Ernie McLean and his wife Winona. A Board of Directors including representatives from all types of motorsports is in place as are several committees.

The most daunting task the organization faces post haste is to raise their contribution of $100,000 toward the building of their future permanent home in Petitcodiac. Temporary facilities for the MMHOF will be established in the interim both in Dartmouth (NS) and Moncton.

Ground floor sponsorship opportunities are available and contributions are welcome. MMHOF memberships are also available, starting at just $15. Tax receipts will be issued for all contributions $200 or over.

The nomination form, the membership form and much more information about MMHOF is available online at www.MaritimeMotorsportHallOfFame.com.

Sponsorship inquiries should be directed to Ernie or Winona McLean at 1-866-355-8206.
