Gymnastics: APEX Offers Open Gyms for High School Athletes

(Oct. 20, 2010) - APEX Gymnastics will be hosting high school open gyms on days that Loudoun County Public Schools are closed.

"This is a great time for athletes to get back into shape for the high school season," said APEX co-owner Melanie Cuozzo.

News: APEX Gymnastics Announces Kids Day Out Program for Nov. 1-2 School Holidays

News: Loudoun Schools to Start Before Labor Day in 2011 and Close in Early June

(Oct. 14, 2010) - The Loudoun County School Board unanimously adopted a calendar that will open school before Labor Day for the 2011-2012 school year at its Tuesday, October 12th, meeting. The earlier starting time will allow school to close on June 8, 2012, eight days earlier than this school year.

The continued condition with the roads is not just the remaining piles if snow, but in some cases deep mud pits which are in need of large volumes of gravel. We continue to recruit the assistance of VDOT for this task.

News: Haitian Ambassador to Visit Briar Woods High School Friday

(Feb. 25, 2010) - His Excellency, Raymond Joseph, Haitian Ambassador to the United States will speak at two assemblies at 10 and 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 26th, at Briar Woods High School. He also will be honored at a luncheon following his presentations.

Ambassador Joseph's visit is being sponsored by the Briar Woods History Club as part of the celebration of Black History Month.

(Feb. 25, 2010 ) - The 29th Annual Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) Regional Science & Engineering Fair has an urgent need for judges in the following categories:

· Animal Sciences
· Biochemistry

· Earth & Planetary Science
· Mathematical Sciences
· Microbiology
· Plant Sciences

News: Loudoun Schools Will be One-Hour Delayed on Tuesday

(Feb. 12, 2010) - Loudoun County Public Schools will be one hour delayed on Tuesday Feb. 16 when the schools finally open after being shut down since Feb. 5 due to the back-to-back storms that dumped 40 inches of snow in the region.
