NASCAR DRIVERS CARL EDWARDS AND MARK MARTIN TO APPEAR ON “GUIDING LIGHT,” FRIDAY, OCTOBER 21 ON THE CBS TELEVISION NETWORK

NASCAR drivers Carl Edwards and Mark Martin drive through Springfield on GUIDING LIGHT, Friday, October 21 (check local listings). The drivers, playing themselves, stop off in the local restaurant, Company, where police detective A.C. Mallet (Robert Bogue) comes in, recognizes who they are and chats up the two racing superstars.

Edwards has been on the national scene since 2003 when he nabbed three Craftsman Truck Series wins for Roush Racing, to finish eighth in the series’ standings. Martin, a veteran NASCAR driver, began racing in Arkansas in 1974. Martin had a string of 10 consecutive top10 finishes in 2001.

GUIDING LIGHT is broadcast weekdays (check local listings) on the CBS Television Network and is a Procter & Gamble Production. GUIDING LIGHT was recently nominated for Outstanding Drama Series in 2004.
