GIRL RACER TO DRIVE BOY RACER

After a successful weekend at Virginia International Raceway, car owner Tom Nastasi announced after his Grand-Am Cup 200 win that he has signed the 22 year old Driver “Valerie Limoges”, of Montreal, Quebec. Canada, to a three year contract to drive the # 4 Ford Mustang GT FR500C for Blackforest Motorsports of Deland Florida, in the Grand-Am Cup Championship for two years and a third year to move to a higher series.

The team, in its first year of Grand-Am Cup competition, began the Championship by winning the inaugural race in Daytona for Ford and the Mustang GT FR500C car and capped off the year with a book end win at VIR. The team finished forth in the series championship and drivers Tom Nastasi and Ian James finished fifth in the drivers championship having missed one race during the series.

Valerie is a quadruple kart champion in F100 and F125.

At the age of 19 she moved into FF1600, and then with a limited budget competed in the Canadian races of the North American Fran-Am series.

After securing sponsorship for 2005, Valerie competed in the Hankook Touring Car series were she had four top fives finishes, including a 3rd and six top tens, taking in account a run from 27th to 9th in the Three Rivers Grand Prix. She finishes the season forth in the championship.

Valerie will begin extensive testing with Blackforest Motorsports at the end of October right through to New Years day. A co-driver for the 2006 Grand-Am Cup Championship has of yet not been decided.
