Kevin Lepage set to fill in for DJ Kennington in the #72 NPP Busch car this weekend in Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, NC - One of the few drivers in NASCAR that calls the New England states home will be competing in one of the few BUSCH Series cars based out of Canada. Veteran NASCAR competitor Kevin Lepage (Shelburn, Vermont) will be the relief driver for DJ Kennington (London, Ontario) this weekend at Lowe's Motor Speedway in North Carolina.

Lepage will be driving the Northern Provincial Pipelines/Vector Securities sponsored #72 Dodge based out of Edson, Alberta.

"Kevin gave me a call a few weeks back when he heard we were in need of a driver," says car owner Dwight Kennedy, "it’s a pretty hands free deal. He brings his own crew to work on the car. They have a lot of experience at the track in Charlotte so that’s a bonus. In practice Thursday he was already running in the top half of the field. It will be interesting to see how he does during qualifying on Saturday."

Lepage has raced in all of NASCAR's elite divisions including the Truck and Busch Series. One of the many highlights of Lepages career came in 2005 when he placed 9th at the Daytona 500.
