NCATS: Beauchamp set for season opener at Cayuga

Pre-season on-track testing is now complete and the Mopar Parts Team is running through the final preparations for the first ever NASCAR Canadian Tire Series (NCATS) event this weekend at Cayuga Speedway, The Dodge Dealers 200.

The initial testing session at Cayuga Speedway provided good information to the team and the Mopar Dodge was front and centre for the annual Mopar Day test session for all Dodge teams at Barrie Speedway. “The car ran really well at both of the first two test days” said driver Ron Beauchamp Jr. “Pretty much everything we expected is what we found”.

In addition to these two test sessions the Mopar Parts team felt they should run one more test session and returned to Cayuga Speedway late last week. “We didn’t have to run the third time, but we felt that our team would be better prepared if we did. The additional testing gave us a change to try a few different set ups on the car after getting some initial data” said Beauchamp.

As the Dodge Dealers 200 approaches the excitement is building for Team Mopar. “We are really looking forward to competing in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series” said Ron Beauchamp Jr. “These are the best racers in Canada, NASCAR is a proven success and all this coming together is going to help the sport grow. The whole Mopar Parts team and all of our sponsors are happy to be part of it”.
