DRAGS: LaFleur Races Ahead with Jiffy-tite in NHRA LODRS Events

Lancaster, NY (July 5, 2007)… Jiffy-tite’s Duane LaFleur is back on track for the 2007 race season, holding nothing back for his fans. After a crash in June of 2006 put HIM on the sidelines, LaFleur made his first appearance in his Jiffy-tite/Valvoline backed roadster at the NHRA LODRS event held at the Summit Raceway Park, taking home runner-up honors in the Super Gas Top 8 event.

The following weekend, LaFleur earned “Best Engineered Car” at the NHRA LODRS event held at the Maple Grove Raceway. LaFleur’s new car is a 1968 Chevrolet Camaro built by Race Tech Race Cars of Burlington, NC, sponsored by Jiffy-tite Motorsports and associate sponsored by Valvoline, K&N Filters and KD Kanopies.

This car features a chromoly tube frame and a full fiberglass body. A 540 ci Chevrolet big block built by Larry Sexton of White House, TN gives LaFleur a powerhouse that makes 900 hp. It is backed by a two-speed Powerglide transmission, a custom fabricated 9” with Moser Engineering 4.30 gear set at the rear and plumbed with a complement of Jiffy-tite Quick Connect fluid fasteners in both the product’s signature black and gold colors and the new all black stealth.
