NCATS: Micks on a roll heading to Edmonton

EDMONTON, ALBERTA (July 19, 2007) – With a recent fourth-place finish, veteran stock car driver Kerry Micks is going into the next NASCAR Canadian Tire Series race with a positive outlook.

“We ran well at Sunvalley (BC) last week, and we’re hoping to keep the momentum going,” said the team owner and driver of the Mick Motorsports Beyond Digital Imaging Ford Taurus. “And I think we have enough experience in setting up and racing our car on the road course.”

Micks placed second in this event in 2006.

The upcoming event will be race five in the 12-race series, at the Rexall Grand Prix of Edmonton on the 1.96 mile, 14-turn road course at the City Center Airport July 20-21.
The former CASCAR Super Series champion added he is grateful for the welcome sponsorship of Beyond Digital Imaging this season.

“Thanks to BDI, we have been able to build a solid racing campaign this year, said Micks, who lives in Mount Albert, ON. “I’m very grateful they stepped up to the plate to help us, and we will try to do our best.”
