JACOMBS POSTS ANOTHER TOP TEN

Peterborough, ON: Dave Jacombs had an all round good weekend after posting an 8th place finish in the rain delayed Logel’s Auto Parts 200 on Sunday.

The #88 Lou’s BBQ/FAG Automotive/CPS Flooring Taurus was good right off the trailer on Saturday as they posted times consistently in the top ten during practice. Time trials would see Jacombs go slightly slower posting the twelfth quickest time.

On Sunday afternoon after being rained out Saturday night, Jacombs lined up twelfth on the grid for the start of the Logel’s 200. The #88 Taurus ran just outside the top ten for first half of the 200 lap event, but over the final 50 laps of the race were able to steadily move up into the top ten, taking the checkered flag in 8th. “This Lou’s BBQ Taurus ran great today and I was really happy with our New Generation motor it was strong all day long,” said Jacombs after the race.

Kerry Micks set a new track record to take the pole for this event. Finish 1. #60 Ron Beauchamp Jr. 2. #02 Kerry Micks 3. #39 Dave Whitlock 8. #88 Dave Jacombs

The #88 Lou’s BBQ/FAG Automotive/CPS Flooring Taurus remains in 10th place in the overall National Point Standings with three events remaining.

The next event for the #88 Team is the Great Canadian 300 weekend at Delaware Speedway on Sept. 3rd & 4th.
