SOD VISITS OHSWEKEN FRIDAY NIGHT IN FINAL TUNE UP BEFORE THE “CANADIAN SPRINT CAR NATIONALS”

The Engine Pro, Sprints On Dirt series presented by Total Seal invades Ohsweken Speedway Friday night, August 26th for a twenty five lap affair in the last appearance of sprint cars before the September “Canadian Sprint Car Nationals.”


SOD President Jason Fausey has announced that all 360 sprints from any sanctioning body will be welcome providing they meet SOD rules and run the Schoenfeld #112535 mufflers specified in the 2005 SOD rules. R.R. Tires will be restricted to the SOD or the SOS spec tires. 1500 lbs. with driver is the minimum weight and SOD membership applications must be filled out although the fee will be waived. The same stipulations will apply for the South Buxton SOD race Saturday, August 27th.

It should be noted that these two races will count points towards the “Canadian Wilderness Tour” championship carrying a separate $2,000 point fund for paid SOD members. In order to accumulate points for the “Canadian Wilderness Tour”, SOD sanctioning fees must be paid on Friday night prior to the event being run. The final race for the “Canadian Wilderness Tour” will be September 17th after the “Canadian Sprint Car Nationals”, held at Ohsweken Speedway.
