Toronto, ON – The Lucas Oil Weekend Warrior Series will be at the Canadian National Exhibition this summer, teaming-up with the New Country 95.3 FM.

“We’re very excited that Country 95.3 invited us to participate. It’s great exposure for grassroots stock car racing and the Lucas Oil WWS,” said series administrator Joshua Paxton.

The New Country 95.3 fm has exclusively carried the Lucas Oil Racing Minute all summer, heard every Friday morning and afternoon. The promotional partnership now blossoms into this live event, where fans of stock car racing can come check out a WWS racecar, up close at the Country 95.3 tent at the CNE.

Brantford resident Shane Gowan has put his #10 Checkered Flag Collectables-Angels Diner Monte Carlo on display for the 18-day event, and other drivers from the series are expected to make an appearance all week long, including former Nascar competitor ‘Quick’ Vic Parsons.

The Lucas Oil Weekend Warrior Series will also be releasing some of its plans for 2006 at the CNE event, including further expansion of the grassroots stock car racing program. The current focus of the WWS is on the first ever chase for the Lucas Cup, happening right now across Ontario. More than 200 competing drivers are trying to climb the point standings, each with hopes of being the first ever weekend warrior grassroots stock car racing champion.

You can follow the chase for the Lucas Cup by listening for the Lucas Oil Racing Minute every Friday on the New Country 95.3 fm.

WWS, the best grass roots stock car racing, see you there!
