JRA cuts deal wtih MavTV to re-broadcast classic CASCAR races

TORONTO, ON – James Robinson Associates Ltd., the producers of the CASCAR television programs, recently came to terms with the U.S. television channel MavTV to broadcast CASCAR Super Series stock car races from years passed.

JRA Ltd. has been producing CASCAR’s race broadcasts for over a decade and the agreement with MavTV will see the network televise CASCAR events from 1994 to the present.

MavTV is a 24-hour digital cable network, targeting adult males with a daring mix of irreverent programming that’s not seen on any other television network.

The network was launched in October 2004.

CASCAR is Canada’s top motorsport sanctioning body. The Super Series is a 12-event professional stock car tour that holds events across Canada.

CASCAR Super Series races are presently broadcast within weeks of taking place on SPORTSNET and on consecutive weekends, in the fall/winter, on SPEED Channel.

While currently unavailable outside of the U.S., MavTV has plans for international distribution.
