2005 DIRT MotorSports NorthEast Track Point Champions Announced

WEEDSPORT, N.Y. (September 26) – The regular season around the DIRT MotorSports NorthEast circuit is over and the weekly track point champions have been declared. All track champions in DIRT NorthEast's four major touring divisions will be presented their first-place trophy during the 30th annual DIRT MotorSports NorthEast Banquet, November 19, at the Turning Stone Resort & Casino in Verona, New York.

In the big-block Modified division the following drivers have been declared DIRT track champions: Bobby Varin (Albany-Saratoga), Alan Johnson (Brewerton), Pat O'Brien (Can-Am), Steve Paine (Canandaigua), Tim Fuller (Cayuga County, Fulton), Brett Hearn (Lebanon Valley), Dave Murdick (Lernerville), Gary Tomkins (Rolling Wheels), Frankie Caprara (Thunder Alley) and Del Rougeux, Jr. (Tri-City).

In the 358‑Modified division the following drivers are recognized as DIRT track champions: Richie Pratt, Jr. (Bridgeport), Pat O'Brien (Brockville), Todd Henderson (Canandaigua), Dale Planck (Cornwall), Martin Roy (Drummond), Pierre Dagenais (Edelweiss), Alan Jacobs (Frogtown), Alan Johnson (Fulton), Steve Poirier (Granby) and Pete Bicknell (Merrittville, Ransomville).

In the Sportsman division those honored as DIRT track champions are: Marcel Pecore (Brockville), Scott Schrader (Canandaigua), Kevin Bates (Cayuga County, Fulton), Brian Sage (Genesee), Rob Ledingham (Humberstone), Wayne Conn, Jr. (Merrittville), Jay Mallory (Ohsweken), Kevin Wills (Ransomville) and Russ Hefti (Rolling Wheels).

In the full-fender Pro Stock division the DIRT track champions are: Jipp Ortiz (Canandaigua), Clayton Benedict (Cornwall), Stephane LeBrun (Edelweiss), P.J. Peters (Frogtown), T.J. Fitzgibbons (Fulton), Beamer Guzzardi (Genesee), Rob Yetman (Lebanon Valley) and Pete Stefanski (Ransomville).

Honorable mentions are also extended to '05 DIRT Street Stock track champions Mike Welch (Canandaigua), Adam DePuy (Cayuga County, Rolling Wheels) and Jeff Burke (Ohsweken), along with recently crowned New Egypt SS Sprint Car titlist Art Liedl.
