September 21, 2005, Peterborough, ON – Driving the Tim Hortons - EMCEA Transport Chevrolet Monte Carlos, team drivers Jeff and Jim Lapcevich finished in 17th and 26th position at Kawartha Speedway in Sunday’s CASCAR Super Series Dodge Ram Tough 250 presented by the Dodge Dealers of Ontario.

"It just wasn't our day,” stated Jeff Lapcevich. “We charged from the back after starting there due to an engine problem in qualifying only to have our run end short when we were spun by a rookie after the caution came out. We started at the back with the Tim Hortons - EMCEA Transport Chevy again and were into the top ten when the right front tire let go after contact with another rookie. It just went from bad to worse from there,” added Lapcevich. “On the positive side, we finished the season very competitively with a pair of top fives in the final three races. We're going to work hard to put a full program together for next year so we can race for the championship."

D.J. Kennington won the Dodge Ram Tough 250 presented by the Dodge Dealers of Ontario followed by Dave Whitlock and Peter Gibbons. Don Thomson Jr. of Hamilton, Ontario driving the Home Hardware Chevy clinched his fifth consecutive CASCAR Super Series National point championship.

“The EMCEA Transport - Tim Hortons 25 team was running second when we encounter motor problems,” explained Jim Lapcevich. “Our Chevy was running with the leader DJ (Kennington) before that happened. I was really hoping for a good finish to end our season.”
