This release prepared by TL Sports & Entertainment

September 11, 2005. Peter Shepherd Jr made the move this week to run the Mid America Motorsports Chevy for the final two events of the CASCAR Super Series racing season beginning with this past Saturday nights 200 lap event at Cayuga Speedway.

Adaptability has been the key asset to the young Shepherd’s season this year as he was racing his third different car of the season. Battling an engine that wasn’t quite right and getting used to the characteristics of the new ride Shepherd qualified 18th.
Almost immediately from the drop of the green flag engine troubles began to arise and Shepherd was forced to make an early pit stop. The team quickly diagnosed the problem and was able to get the teenager back out onto the track again only losing a few laps.

“Once we got that miss problem corrected it was a pretty good car” said Shepherd. “The most important thing is that I got back in the seat and was able to mix it up in competition with these racers. This is the best racing series in Canada and I wanted to get into these last two races”.

Pete Shepherd and the Mid America Chevrolet will be back in action for the final race of the CASCAR season on Sunday September 18th at Kawartha Downs. The 250 lap feature event begins at 2:30PM.

The CASCAR Super Series competes at historic oval tracks like Delaware Speedway, Cayuga Speedway along with the challenging road course at Mosport International Raceway and also on the temporary street circuit at the Toronto Molson Indy.
