September 12, 2005, Cayuga, ON – Driving his PowerWater 2005 Micks Motorsports Ford, veteran driver Kerry Micks finished in seventh position at Cayuga Speedway in Saturday night’s CASCAR Super Series Crown Jewel 200.

“Cayuga would have been a lot more fun if my car would have been handling better,” said Kerry Micks after the race. “We were lucky to get out of there with a seventh-place finish.”

Peter Gibbons won the Crown Jewel 200 on the big 5/8ths-mile oval, followed by Don Thomson Jr. and Dave Whitlock.

“I’m looking forward to returning to Kawartha Speedway this weekend,” added Micks. “We always run there and I love that track. We’ve got a good shot a picking up our fourth win of the season, and with a good finish in the PowerWater Ford we can move into the top five in the CASCAR Super Series points standings. That would be a good way to finish the year.”

Micks, with three wins this season in the PowerWater Micks Motorsports Ford, sits in sixth position in the 2005 CASCAR Super Series Points Championship.
