Bowmanville, ON (September 27, 2005) - The final rounds of the Honda/Michelin Challenge Series and Canadian Automobile Sport Clubs (CASC) Ontario Region classes run at Mosport International Raceway this weekend (October 1 & 2) in the Panoz Motor Sports/CASC Celebration 2005.

Celebration 2005 is the culmination of a season-long championship for all Ontario Region classes, ranging from single-seat formula cars to Grand Touring (GT) full-bodied sedans. Vintage historic open and closed wheel cars are among the favourite for automotive enthusiasts to watch. The wide variety of racing and cars will satisfy most road racing fans.

For the second year in a row, the Celebration weekend will see the national champion of the Honda/Michelin Challenge Series crowned at Mosport. Only three points separate championship contenders Kuno Wittmer and Steven Laporte. A spec series for Honda Civic sedans, this championship prides itself on close competition, thanks to a rules package that allows teams and drivers to compete on equal footing. This results in exciting and entertaining races for fans to watch.

The drivers competing in all of this weekend's races may not be household names like Tracy or Fellows, but the level of competition that they perform at is just as intense.

A weekend ticket to Celebration 2005 is only $15.00. Children 12 and under are admitted free with a paid adult. Complimentary camping is available with hot and cold running showers. Mosport has two playgrounds for the kids too.
