September 12, 2005, Cayuga, ON – Tim Hortons - EMCEA Transport team driver Jeff Lapcevich placed a respectable fourth in the Crown Jewel 200 driving his #23 Fastline Motorsports Chevrolet Monte Carlo in CASCAR Super Series competition in Saturday night’s event at Cayuga Speedway.

“We had a good car at Cayuga and the team was sharp in the pits,” explained Jeff Lapcevich after the race. “It says a lot for our team when we can run up front with CASCAR’s top competitors and multiple series champions like Gibbons, Thomson and Whitlock. I’m looking forward to Kawartha Speedway next weekend. It’s a fun track, we qualified well there last year and had a seventh-place finish.”

Peter Gibbons won the Crown Jewel 200 followed by Don Thomson Jr. and Dave Whitlock.

Jim Lapcevich finished a disappointing 23rd after breaking half-way into the race.

“We had one of our better qualifying efforts on Saturday night in Cayuga. I like running there and the EMCEA Transport - Tim Hortons Chevrolet was running well,” stated Jim Lapcevich. “I’m really excited about next weekend’s event at Kawartha Speedway. We had a second-place finish there last year and I can’t wait to go back.”
